MacBook Air-- worth your money?

I right now have a dell Vostro, it's bulky and functional, and I think I want to get a really sleek laptop, like the macbook air. I saw it at the Apple store and it was amazing. Thin, sleek, cool interface, nice mousepad, discreet USB slot, but 1,800 dollars? I'm not looking for excessive performance, but do you get buyers remorse after dropping 1,800 dollars on a laptop?
