How can you tell if someone is narcissistic versus being unemotional?

What's the key characteristic difference? Narcissists are unemotional and self-absorbed. Unemotional people think logically with their heads versus emotionally with their hearts. Narcissism is far more serious than being unemotional, so how can tell if someone isn't narcissistic?
