Becoming an avon representative...is it worth my time?

I am 18. This sales woman gave me a leaflet on it and I want to earn some extra money. She said you have to make �78 and then you get commission, which to me seems like a lot because 2 or 3 people on my estate already do it. Can anyone explain more to me.
