How long does it take to fully recover from appendicitis?

i'm 15 years old and i just had my appendix removed. it's my first surgery. i had it removed on... i think tuesday. i was just wondering if i had any hope of having a good summer? will i be able to go to the beach or hang out with my friends before school starts up again? would i recover faster if i were younger? helpful answers are greatly appreciated!!!! thanks so much! :)
